Bella *heart* Edward or is it Tilda *heart* Edwin?

Happy Friday My Sweet Readers,

Oh, I am so excited to share a card that I just finished. I REALLY got all excited over this one - not because it is the most gorgeous card on the planet, but because, as I was just nodding off to sleep (or was it early in the morning when I was just waking?), I came up with this idea! I am most creative just before going to sleep or just before waking up. This one surprised even me! I hope it makes you smile. I sure smiled a lot! LOL **It is available for sale on Etsy, too!** Click on image to see larger photo So, here it is:

Who said that Tilda with little bat wings had to be for Halloween? I didn't want this card to be just for Valentine's Day. I wanted it to be for whenever you want to say, "I Love You!" I colored Tilda with distress inks. It wasn't easy getting varying shades of black. I knew it was important so that the different clothing would look just that - different. So, I made her bat shirt a little heavier in color. I created a little banner using my Nesties, some little alpha buttons, baker's twine, and Magnolia flower dies. I put some gauze behind the second mat. Both mats have been distressed and machine stitched. Tilda has been elevated on pop dots. Oh, on her shoes and hat are little clear gem flowers which I colored red with a Copic marker.

Are you ready to turn the page and see the inside... OK, here we go!

Do you like the sentiment on the inside? I just made myself laugh when I thought of it! For all of you Twilighters, you can identify, right? Here are the close ups:

Well, this side panel got me up at 4:30 AM! I had finished it last night. Somehow, in my sleep, I began stressing that this panel was just too "dark." No flowers. Stark. But, I looked at it again about 11 AM and decided it was fine. Because the card is for a guy, I didn't want all the frills and flowers. I wanted to keep it something a guy would like. Did I manage to do that? I hope so.

Here is the inside right - my favorite panel:

It's hard to see, but Edwin is holding a little red rhinestone heart. Again, the image was colored with distress inks. I wanted his clothing to be more vampire-like. Yes, I was sooooooooooooooo tempted to draw little fangs on his face, LOL! There is a little hidden tag behind the mat for a special message.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you like this just-for-fun-card! I'd love to hear your comments!

Have a great weekend!

Love to you,
Chris

Devilishly Delightful!!!! Chris, you have the most wonderful imagination. How on earth do you come up with such clever plans and execute them so perfectly. I would say they LOVE each other equally so it is both ways. I absolutely adore your creation!!!

Well all I can say is you need to sleep more often! This is dramatic, fun loving and not at all too frilly for a guy! Beautifully executed - a definite winner! I'm glad you said something about Twilight or I never would have know who Bella and Edward are! I guess I'm just out of the loop on these thing!!! Your coloring is wonderful on both images. Somebody is going to love this card...hugs...Barb <><

Who are Bella and Edward? LOL, just kidding! I teased my sister SO much for being obsessed with the Twilight books so she brought them over and dared me not to feel the same after reading just one...I read ALL of them in three days. Literally told John he was in charge and locked myself in the closet! Guess she showed me! Gorgeous card! Love the banner!
