Runaway Bride Tilda Joins New Challenge at Magnolia-licious!

Have you heard the news? Runaway Bride Tilda bolted out of the Magnolia-licious Wedding Center leaving poor Edwin alone and dismayed at the altar! Spectators stated that the bride hopped on the back of a unicorn and flew over the rainbow in search of the Wizard of Oz!

OK, I'm exaggerating just a smidge, right? LOL

How are you? Are you ready for the new challenge at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog? Our last challenge had 63 partici-pants! Thanks girls for joining in! I hope you will join in this challenge as well. Our theme for this two week challenge is:
Love is in the Air

We would so love to see your creations based on this theme and using at least one Magnolia stamp. Please make sure your creation relates to the "Love is in the Air Theme." You don't want to be left out of the drawing for a special surprise from Diana - the Queen of Special Surprises - because you forgot to use a Magnolia product, right?

For my inspiration card, I chose to use #365 Runaway Bride Tilda from the new Special Moments Collection. I think she is just adorable. She looks like she is on the go! LOL Here is my photo:

For my card, I chose the colors brown, white, and gold. I used Frantage that also has white and gold in the mix. There is a large gold metallic circle between the two largest white mats. It doesn't look gold in the photo. Tilda's shoes have been treated with Kindyglitz as has her tiara. I painted her dress and veil with a product (I have no idea of the name) that has microfine glitter suspended in the fluid. Her dress is just adorable IRL. A touch of Flowersoft at Tilda's feet give her something to "run" on!

Did you know that each Monday, Magnolia-licious has mini Magnolia stamps for 10% off? Just write "Mini Stamp Monday" in the comments section!

I hope you like my Runaway Bride Tilda. Thank you so much for taking the time to visit!

XO,

Chris

Doo Bee Pops Tilda Goes Mini at Magnolia-licious!

Good Morning Sweet Readers,

Today is Mini Monday at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog! I just love working with the Mini Magnolias! They take no time to color and look soooooo cute! Mini Mondays are set aside for you to get out a Magnolia Mini Stamp and ink it up! I made an adorable hanging tag card featuring #3004 -- Doo Bee Pops Tilda. Let me tell you a little about my hanging tag card.

I didn't really want to make a card this time, so I thought I'd make a hanging tag of sorts. I began by creating the base. It was easy - just like a card! LOL Included on the base is a pocket. Inside the pocket is a hidden tag. I used alphas from my stash. They are a pretty apricot color, too. I pulled some apricot colored seam binding, some dies, and pretty flowers from my supplies. I painted Tilda and added green Kindyglitz to the balloon for some sparkle. Here is a photo of the base:

Here's where my humor comes in! For the hidden tag, I used a Sizzix die that I've had for years. To the tag's surface, I added a lattice Cheery Lynn Die. I trimmed the lattice to fit the tag and made sure I glued each little edge really well. Then, I pulled out my Quickutz alpha dies and cut the letters. I did triple the alphas so that they look like chipboard. Next, I added some die cuts (bird, vine) as well as a couple of teeny tiny flowers. For the finishing touch, I added a metal charm and centered a pearl.

Here is a close up of Doo Bee Pops Tilda:

There's a "Comment Fairy" flittering from DT blog to DT blog gathering names to go into the draw! Diana is so very, VERY generous! You wouldn't want to miss out on possibly winning, right?

Thankk you so much for visiting! Have a great week!

Love to you,

It's the Summer Blog Hop at Magnolia-licious-A Fourth of July Album With Liberty Tilda and Friends!

Good morning, Sweet Readers,

Well, the longest day of the year is June 21 AND it is also the first day of Summer in the Northern Hemisphere! What a wonderful kick off for summer - to have a summer themed blog hop! Want to play along? Sure you do!

The theme for the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Blog Hop is Summer! If you want to join in the fun, all you need to do is create a project (not a card) that follows the Summer theme. You might consider Fourth of July, Summer Family Activities, Fun in the Summer Sun, etc. If you would like to include a card with your project, that would be wonderful! You have so many options for this theme, too! Let your creativity reign!

If you have reached my blog via the amazing and very talented blog of Suzi McManus then you are in the right place! If not, you'll want to start back at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog so you don't miss a fantastic creation by the very talented gals on the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Design Team!

I'd love to take a minute or two and share my project with you. There are lots of photos, so please be prepared, LOL! I created this Fourth of July album as a gift for our adult son. He tolerates my Tilda/Edwin addiction, LOL. He and his sweetheart will be traveling to Washington, DC for the Fourth of July. My husband and I did the same thing in 1976 for our nation's Bicentennial Celebration. They will have a Supreme Court Tour, Capitol Tour, and visit historic landmarks from Virginia to New York. They will also visit Bucks County, PA, where I grew up. I know how exciting it will be for them. It sure was for us! I thought this album would be a nice way to preserve their memories.

The album has lots of hidden tags as well as folding sections. I tried to cram as much into this album as possible. I hope you like it. Here are my photos:

Here is a listing of the Magnolia products I used in my project. Please contact Diana at Magnolia-licious if you are interested in adding any of these precious stamps and/or DooHickey Dies to your collection.

Magnolia-licious Wedding Tilda

Hello Sweet Readers,

OK, it's only June 10 and the temperature has been 109° F.(43° C.)! I can only imagine what the temperatures will be like during the hottest month of July! I'm going to wind up a "Crispy Critter!" LOL It's even too hot for the pool! I hope you are staying cool!

I have a sweet card to share with you today. The current challenge at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog is Lucious Lace! You must use lace on your Magnolia Tilda card in some way. I decided to challenge myself for this challenge by creating an all white card. Oh, how I wanted to cut pastel paper, but I held back! I love how my card turned out and hope you do, too.

I chose to use Wedding Tilda from the new Magnolia Special Moments Collection. You can find the entire collection at my favorite place to shop, Magnolia-licious. I will have links to the products I've used at the bottom of my post. This has to be my favorite stamp from this lovely collection. When I first saw it, I was totally smitten!

For my card, I chose to thread ribbon through the strips of wide lace. Next came the embellishments. I used several die cuts to add additional elements on the lace. The lace gives the card wonderful texture and a tactile change. When I painted Wedding Tilda, I didn't want to leave the finish flat. I looked through my goodies and found a product that adds sparkle. I think it really makes her dress look elegant. It's very subtle. I had to play with the lighting and the angle of the card so you could see the effect. I also enhanced the image by adding a narrow ribbon bow and some Flower Soft to her bouquet, hair, and ground beneath her feet. Here are the images for the front of my card:

Do you like the front? I sure do! Below are the shots of the interior. I continued with the strips of lace on both sides. The left side has a repeat of the diamond shape found on the front. I didn't want to detract from the woven ribbon, so I left that side very basic. The right side, however, is a totally different thing! LOL I layered die cuts, added pearls and rhinestones. It just looks so pretty. Here are the images:

You can find many of the die cuts and the stamp that I used at the Magnolia-licious Store. Here are the links:
