Sleeping Baby Tingla

Good morning sweet readers,

Today is the beginning of the new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! Our new challenge is sooo easy! I just know you will participate! The new theme is...

Anything Goes

How's that for an easy peasy challenge? The sky s the limit!

Diana, the Queen of Magnolia-licious, now has available for ordering the brand new line of Magnolia stamps called "Sea Breeze!" It is soooooooo cute! The stamps are adorable! I fell in love with two stamps in particular - Gucci Tilda and Handy Tilda! They just brought a huge smile to my face! Of course, I had to get them right away. So, a word to the wise - GO! GO NOW! GO DIRECTLY TO THE MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS STORE and stock up before they are gone! You won't want to wait for the next shipment! Diana's prices are the best AND you get a 2% store credit right into your store account!

Also, Diana is now carrying a new line of stamps, in addition to Magnolia and Wee Stamps. Diana has brought Wild Rose Studio Stamps out of the UK for us to enjoy! This new line is just adorable with prices that are soooooo good! It would be hard to find such detailed, adorably imaged stamps for just $6.99. Check them out, too! To view these stamps, look to the left of your screen under the heading "Categories." Right under that is a sub topic called "New Stamp Companies." If you click on that, Wild Rose Studio comes up and lists six sub topics -

Annabelle's Meadow and Garden
Blackberry Lane
Bella
Bunnies
Christmas
Paper Packs.

Now, for my card! This is the card that I chose to make for the new challenge. Here it is:

Isn't that the sweetest stamp? It's called Sleeping Baby Tingla. Diana does have this stamp in stock. The papers are all pale pink and white. The mats have been machine stitched in silver thread. I've elevated the painted image and added a frame accented by tiny pearls. There is a hidden tag at the top, gorgeous mulberry flowers, and lace. I added a sweet baby carriage charm and delicate ribbon. The card was personalized with the baby's name printed in a very pale gray so that it looks like silver. Tingla's wings have been filled in with Kindyglitz.

Thank you for stopping by! I hope you liked my creation. Don't forget that your comments left on our DT blogs, put your name into a drawing for a special treat from Diana!

XO,

Chris

Some Like It Hot!

For this challenge, you are to create a project that reflects the Summer heat in some way. It could be about Summer activities, ways to "chill" in the Summer heat, or even something that is as hot as the heat of Summer. The Design Team has fantastic examples that will be posted on the Challenge Blog today and next Tuesday as well. So, jump in the Magnolia-licious pool and join the fun!

Before I share my card with you, I want to announce the winner of a special something for leaving a comment on the Runaway Bride post on my blog. The winner is -

Suzan Laverty

Suzan, please e-mail me with your address, and I will get a special something out to you! Thanks to each of you who left me a little love! XOXO

Now, back to the Some Like It Hot Challenge! I think I was out in left field when my mind considered the direction my card would take for my challenge card. I thought about things that are HOT! Of course, with that in mind, I thought about my sweet husband! He's "HOT!" As a result, my mind went in the direction of ice cream and being "hot." I'll blame it on my having a "Senior Moment!" I chose to use the Thought Bubble Stamp Set (see below) rather than the Talk Bubble Doohickey because I liked the black dotted border (and it's cheaper!, LOL) Below the photos are the Magnolia-licious produces used. Here's my card:

I used the following products from Magnolia-licious Stamps, Dies, and So Much More:

Love, Love, Love Tilda #361
Doohickey #88 Cloudy Tag Die
Thought Bubbles #524

Well, that's about it! Don't forget to leave a comment at the end of my blog (and those blogs of the DT) to have your name in the draw for a special surprise from Diana!

Thanks so much for visiting!

XO,

Wee Peggy Stamped Featured Today at Magnolia-licious

Hello from the heat saturated Mojave Desert!

OK, the temperatures for the last five days have ranged from 116° F. (47° C.) to today's high of 113° (45° C.)! I could bake cookies in my car! No kidding! When I was teaching, I had my class assemble S'mores in the classroom. Then, we wrapped them in foil and took them out to my car where I placed the bundles on the back seat window ledge and on the front dashboard. In 15 minutes they were done! The kids loved it! It was a great learning experience!

Today, I have the most delightful Wee Stamps image to share with you. It's called Peggy. I think her face is just so sweet. I wanted to lean toward the vintage style this time. I chose the colors pink, brown, and cream. Here it is:

The little butterflies have been coated with Frantage so they look enameled and sparkle with the gold element of the Frantage. By bending the wings while the Frantage is hot, they cool in the upright position! I added lots of pearls throughout the card. I pulled lots of flowers from my stash. Add a touch of lace and seam binding, and voila!

Wee Peggy is available at Magnolia-licious. Also from Magnolia-licious is:

Leaf and Swirl Die

Doohickey #51 - So Lovely Folded Heart Tag (temporarily out of stock)

Magnolia-licious has the best selection of both mini and standard sized Magnolia Stamps as well as Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet. If there is something out of stock, just contact Diana. You can't find more personable customer service anywhere on line! Don't forget, with each purchase, you earn 2% store credit. This adds up nicely! What an advantage when you want something and your budget doesn't have room for that purchase! Your accrued credit saves the day! LOL

Thank you so much for stopping by. I so love your visit. I hope you have a wonderful Fourth of July! Stay safe!

XO,

Chris
