Tilda I Give You My Heart Mother's Day Card

Hello Dearest Readers,

Happy Sunday to you from the hot desert southwest! We've had lovely days if you don't have allergies to all the plants that are in bloom! LOL. Spring cleaning is done. My lemons have arrived from California and have been cleaned, zested, and juiced! Gotta have lemons before summer! It's a task to take care of them, but the results are wonderful! I freeze the zest in jars to use all year long. The juice is frozen in ice cube trays, bagged, and kept for when the juice of a lemon is needed.

Easter is just around the corner. Do you have anything special planned? Have you ever dyed your eggs using veggies? Oh, veggies can create the most lovely colors which can be changed by adding salt OR vinegar to the colored water. Salt is alkaline while vinegar is an acid. So, the same water will provide two different results!

Before I share my card, I want to tell you about the two NEW collections Diana will soon have in the store! It's on a preorder basis now, so if you are interested, get them before they are gone! They do go fast!

The first collection is called the 4th Graduate Collection. This collection has the two cutest America themed Tildas in it along with new grad images. These are perfect with graduation time coming soon!

The second collection is entitled "World Wide Web Collection." There are such adorable images included with this collection as well! I just drooled when I saw them! You will, too!

Today, it is Team B's turn to provide inspiration cards for the newest challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. The challenge theme is:

Pink, Pearls, and Lace!

For my card, I have chosen to use "I Give You My Heart Tilda" from the recently released Lovely Duo Collection. While I did not use the paired text, I thought the image would look perfect on a Mother's Day card! Here she is:

Tilda has been colored with Distress Inks. I rarely use just one color, LOL. I think I used four colors on her clothing! LOL. I shaded around her using Tattered Rose. Her hair was colored with Antique Linen, Vintage Photo, and Tea Dye. The paper used is by Maja while the card stock is Bazzill. I used the Doohickey Romance Tag die for the sentiment. The basket is also a Doohickey die which is from Doohickey Kit Vol. 2. I thought that flowers were just the perfect enhancement to this adorable die. The butterfly dies are from various die companies. The mat on which Tilda is placed has been elevated on pop dots. The pink polka dotted ribbon - boo hoo - the last of what I had - is from Magnolia-licous. There are two other ribbons. Both, along with the lace, are from my stash.

Here are two close ups:

The greenery in the basket is from Magnolia and is called "Winter Fern," I think. I'm also thinking that the pink buds are from Magnolia.

Well, that's about it! I hope you like my Mother's Day creation.

Now it's your turn! Won't you join the Pink, Pearls, and Lace Challenge? We'd love to see your creations!

Thank you for stopping by.

By leaving a comment, you may win a special gift from Diana at Magnolia-licious! If you don't join in, you just can't win! LOL

I hope you will return again very soon!

Tilda as a Star Thinks You Shine!

Hello Dearest Readers,

Happy Sunday to each of you! We just had the most wonderful visit with our daughter-in-law! I love that woman so very much! She is kind, caring, loving, and soon to be the mother of our first grandchild! We are so excited! She came from Portland to enjoy the warm sunny days of the desert southwest!

Now, it's back to work! Today begins the new challenge at the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog! Your challenge theme is…

STARS!

We would love to see your gorgeous creations featuring stars! I love stars on cards - especially cards for a male. I did, however, make a girly girl card with stars. Want to see it? Here it is:

I chose the colors yellow, gray, and white. I also chose to mask two Magnolia stamps from the Sweet Crazy Love Collection - Tilda as a Star and Sweet Moon. They were made to work together! Here are some other images:

I chose to leave the center star without a sentiment so the buyer can let me know the purpose of the card. Then, I could apply an appropriate sentiment.

Here is the bottom.

The blank center will allow the buyer to write their own personal message.I really liked the look of the silver glittered card stock repeated on all panels of the card.

I hope you will join the Star Challenge! We would love to see your gorgeous creations!

Thank you so much for coming by! I hope you will return again very soon!

XO,

Chris

Bebunni Lucky You Congratulations Card

Hello Dearest Readers,

Happy first Wednesday of Spring! I don't know what it is like where you are, but it is warm and gorgeous here! We've had to turn on the air conditioner in the afternoons/early evening because it's been in the low 80's! It's a gorgeous time of the year! I do prefer winter, but that isn't going to happen for quite a while! LOL

Today is "W"-Wednesday at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog. Today, I would like to show you a card I recently made featuring one of the new Crafter's Companion Bebunni Stamp Sets that Diana is now carrying. There are a few stamps in the Magnolia-licious Store. You can find them by clicking the link provided.

For my card, I chose to use the Bebunni Lucky You Stamp set. You can find it HERE. This set features the cutest little bunny along with six sentiment stamps. Everything is at your fingertips. To tell you the truth, I had forgotten about the sentiment stamps before I added a Magnolia sentiment stamp to my card. Brilliant, huh? LOL Would you like to see my card?

This is the easel card I chose to make. I loved the colors on the paper and had to make the bunny the focal point. Tell me what you think.

For my card, I used a Spellbinders Grand set for the shapes. The card is just over six inches in diameter. Then, I used a die set from Magnolia Doohickey Kit Volume 4, "Le Jardin." I liked the flowers and the grass addition. I chose to finish each flower with a small pearl. The image was colored with distress inks.

Here are shots of the easel card opened and the solo shot of the lower panel.

I used my Memory Box Grass die but paired it, this time, with the small flowers die found in the "Le Jardin" Doohickey Kit #4. I love that there were two sizes of flowers. If you missed it, there are also pearls in the center of the lace bows. The sentiment is from the Lucky You stamp set. I used it on a Doohickey tag die.

I have a question for you. I have a ton of new, unused Magnolia stamps which I have accidentally purchased more than once (I must have really liked them, LOL). Would you be interested in purchasing some of the ones you like and do not yet have? If so, how much would you be willing to pay for one? I'm thinking of listing them in my Etsy Shop - A Scrappers Boutique. If you would be interested, please let me know either by comment below or sending me an e-mail. I could make a list of those I have. I wish I didn't forget that I already have this or that stamp. Honestly, there are some I've bought THREE times! Thanks a bunch!

I hope you will return again very soon!

XO,

Chris

I also chose to make some fun little items to include in the travel tote to help pass the time. Here are the photos:

This game was created using a plastic packing case, the Doo-hickey heart die, paper, alphas, and ball bearings. The object of the game is to get each of the four balls into the four holes which were punched into the heart.

I also created a little dot-to-dot book in which the child would follow the numbers by drawing connecting lines which will create an image when completed. I used various die shapes for each page.

I cropped the above photo a bit too much! Sorry about that. It is a box that is holding crayons.

I realize there are a lot of photos. I thought they were pretty self-explanatory. If you have any questions, just ask! Also, I would love if you left a comment sharing your thoughts. This was a challenge for me to do! LOL I really wanted to go with the literal title of the Hop.

Norma

Lemon Tilda Wishing for Spring!

Hello Dearest Readers,

Happy Tuesday to each of you! March has come in with a splash for us living in the desert! Thank goodness! Last week, we had snow! What a treat to wake up to seeing! Here are a couple of photos of last week's snow event:

We weren't supposed to get snow…LOL! I woke up just before dawn and through my blurry eyes thought I saw flakes falling. I woke up DH and asked him to tell me what he saw. After a couple of minutes of wake-up time, he, too, saw the fat, fluffy flakes falling from the sky. We opened the blinds, jumped back in bed, and watched the snow fall over the valley. It was so beautiful. By noon, the sun was out and the snow was melting away. What a treat!

Did you know that Magnolia-licious is now carrying several stamp lines from Crafter's Companion? They are: Bebunni, Angelica and Adam; Angelica; Camden Town. Each set is deeply etched onto pink rubber, mounted to EZMount Static Cling Cushion and hand cut close to each image so it is ready to use with an acrylic block right out of the package! The overall stamp set size is 4 3/4", Square packaged onto a full color laminated storage panel and into a clear cello hang bag. (5 EZMount Rubber Stamps) HERE is the link!

Today is Team B's opportunity to share their designs for the

BINGO

CHALLENGE

Here is your bingo card -

You may go horizontally, vertically, or diagonally. Please list on your blog post, what line you are using.

Here is my card:

For my card, I chose to use Bling, Die Cuts, and Ribbons. My colors are pink, yellow, and white. I just love this stamp! It is Lemon Tilda from the Pink Lemonade Collection. The card is very girly girl! LOL I added a nice variety of pink and yellow flowers as well as a gorgeous gold filagree heart charm. The butterfly was accentuated with a pearl swirl that I think is from Prima. My photos of the interior are HORRIBLE, so please forgive me. My eyes haven't been very clear, and I just didn't do a good job. Here they are, though:

I hope you will join the Bingo Challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! We would love to see your creations!

Thank you for stopping by.

By leaving a comment, you may win a special gift from Diana at Magnolia-licious! If you don't join in, you just can't win! LOL

I hope you will return again very soon!

Tilda with Two Balloons Sends Birthday Wishes

Hello Dearest Readers,

How are you this wonderful Sunday? It's a bit wet and dreary here this weekend. We had snow the other day, which was such a nice surprise. Here are a couple of photos from my part of the universe:

Usually, it gets extremely quiet when it snows. This storm caught everyone by surprise as we were to have rain. I woke up at morning's first light and looked out the upper windows at our trees. I kept wiping my eyes because I kept thinking I was seeing snow on the trees! I woke up my DH and told him that I thought it was snowing outside. He got up, looked out the lower windows and everything was white! So, we opened the blinds, sat in bed, and watched the snow fall outside! It was so special! It's not a common thing in the desert, so when we get it, I am in heaven!

Guess what! There is a new challenge today at the Addicted to Stamps Challenge Blog! Our challenge for you this time is…..

Use a Number

Your card should display a number somewhere in its design. Maybe you have a little someone with a birthday coming. Maybe you want to design a card based on 10 Reasons I Love You! Maybe you have paper with numbers printed on it. It's up to you!

Here is my inspiration card:

For this card, I used an older Tilda stamp that I thought was so precious. My colors are pink, white, and gray. The papers used are by Maja Designs. I also used pink seam binding, pink box pleated ribbon, a strand of white voile rosettes, and pink, gray, and white flowers. The rhinestone charm looks fabulous on the card. It just brightens it up with sparkle.

Here is a peek at the inside:

The inside is very basic.

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope that you will enter our challenge with a lovely project you've designed and created!

XO,

Chris
