Magnolia Princess Tilda w/Curl's New Ride!

Good morning, my little chickadees,

How are you this gorgeous, sunny Spring Day? Are you ready for the new challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog?

Oh, it was such creating some inspiration for you! The challenge for the next two weeks is to use vellum! I was just thrilled when I learned that we'd have a challenge using vellum! I hope you will join in the challenge!

Remember that your entry must have at least one Magnolia image on the front. If you want to be in the draw for the prize, you need to stick to the theme and use a Magnolia stamp! This challenge is open to everyone - it doesn't matter if you live in Europe, Australia, Asia, Africa, North or South America! Come and join in the challenge!

Also, if you leave a comment below, you will be entered to win a special surprise from Magnolia-licious!

Also, if you leave a comment below, your name will be in a draw to win a little gift from me as well! So, you have two chances to win - one from Diana at Magnolia-licious, and one from me! Just leave a comment below!

Are you ready to see my creation? I cannot wait to share it with you! Here it is:

Isn't that carriage adorable? I have had a princess carriage design in my head for years! It wasn't until the new Magnolia Once Upon a time Collection became available at Magnolia-licious that I actually got to turn my thoughts into a tangible project! I used pink vellum for the body of the carriage. Then, I went through my Nesties to see which dies would work for the carriage hardware. Those elements were cut from silver cardstock. I used silver thread to stitch the seams on the carriage body as well as around the perimeter of the card's panels. Next, I chose to add some girly girl pearls, flowers, and charms! If you look closely, Tilda has little pink pearls on her shoes. I also added three hot pink rhinestones to her crown. Here are the close ups.

Here are the images of the interior panels. I used the pink vellum once again to create the flowers and leaves.

For the bottom panel, I used the pink vellum for the flower as well as the stamped castle image.

The following items are available a the Magnolia-licious store:

223 - Princess Tilda with Curl

Heart Doohickey Die

Twisted Swirl Die - Currently Out of Stock

Wild Strawberry and Flowers Doohickey Die

#1 Vintage Tag Doohickey Die

Edwin's Knight Castle Stamp

Now, I would like to announce the winner of a special something from me. The name was chosen from those who left a much appreciated comment for me on the last Challenge Post. That winner is...

#3 - Gayle - that's YOU!

Gayle, please e-mail me using the address on the sidebar so I can get a special something out to you shortly.

I would like to enter my card into the following challenges:

New Magnolia-licious Challenge Featuring Tilda with Daffodil Basket

Good morning everyone,

Happy April! Can you believe it's April already? We're already running our air conditioner! It's around 80° already, which isn't that bad, but everything is in bloom, and the allergens are really heavy! So, by keeping the house closed up and running the air conditioner, it helps keep those pollens at bay. Even our poor little Precious, the cat, is having Feline Asthma. She's so good when I give her the pill. She doesn't fight the daily routine at all. Bless her heart!

Guess what is ready to go at Magnolia-licious? If you guessed the new

Once Upon a Time Collection

then you guessed right! The prices are the BEST and, in addition, you'll get a store credit based on your total spent at the time of purchase. This goes into your own personal account and builds each time you make a purchase. Down the line, it feels like Christmas when you can get that special something using the accumulated store credit! Diana's inventory is filled, so don't wait! If you wait too long, they'll be gone.

There is a new challenge today at the Magnolia-licous/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog ! Our challenge for the next two week period is to create a card using

Buttons, Bows, and/or Beads!

How fun is that? It's time for a girly girl card! Woo Hoo! Here is the card I created to provide a little inspiration. I hope you like it. I did change the base of the card from white to the pale pink after I had taken the photos. I liked it better with the pink base. I have used some wonderful NEW Magnolia products, too. The Magnolia products used in my card follow the photo. Here is the front of my card:

I am so in love with this stamp! It is so perfect for so many card purposes! This time, I chose to use pale yellow and pale pink together. Remember, I did change the white base of the card to the pale pink. I have created eight holes for lacing the ribbon. At each end, I added a pretty bow. You can find the following products at the Magnolia-licious Store. Use the links to go right to the product information.

Tilda with Daffodil Basket

Doo-hickey Butterfly Die - Check with Diana about availability.

Here are the shots of the inside of my card:

Here are the links to the Magnolia-licious products used for the interior:

Vintage Box Lace Chocolate Doo-hickey Die

Heart Tea Label Shape Doo-hickey die

Vintage Tag

Feather Doo-hickey die

Remember, that Diana is very generously giving one lucky gal a special surprise just for leaving a comment on the Challenge and Design Team Blogs! You can't win if you don't join in!

Now, I would like to announce the winner of a special something from little old me (emphasis on the old part). The name was chosen fro those who left a little love for me on the last Challenge post. That winner is...

#15 - Patty - that's YOU!

Patty, please e-mail me using the address on the sidebar so I can get a special something out to you shortly.

Well, that's about it! Thank you so much for visiting! Please leave a comment if you want to take a chance on winning a special surprise from Diana as well as winning one from me! (Shhhh! - Don't tell, but Diana's will be LOTS better, LOL).

Love to you,

It's a Magnolia-licious Mini Monday!

Hello Dearest Readers,

I hope your Easter was one that was filled with family, friends, laughs, and love! I so loved when our boy was little and the Easter Bunny would leave a basket of goodies. He was always so thrilled!

Well, it's Mini Monday at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! If this is your first time checking out Mini Monday, it's our way to inspire you to pull out your minis and ink them up! I'll tell you, it's been great for me as I was really intimidated by them! LOL So, we'll work into using them together, OK? LOL

Before I forget, I want to share that Diana has the brand spankin' new Once Upon a Time Collection on sale right now! The prices are soooo affordable with the generous discount that Diana gives as well as the additional discount that goes into your own little "savings" account (store credit) earned with each purchase of store product. Get them before they are gone!

My card is really different from my usual style! First of all, there are NO FLOWERS! Can you believe that? I love flowers and usually have them inside and out on my cards! Not this time! I also kept the design very simple. That is also so unlike me! Yes, I used layers and machine stitching - I couldn't give up everything, LOL, could I? Here are the images:

For the front of the card, I chose the colors of pale yellow and teal. It looks like an emerald green, but it's a teal. The base of the card is the pale yellow Bazzill. I found some patterned paper in my stash that was a perfect match! I used Basic Grey buttons, bakers twine, Nestie dies for the scalloped circles and inner yellow circles, Memory Box dies for the swirly circles and the three random circles. The tag is an improvised Magnolia tag. I wanted to make the tag more functional, so I got a little creative. Then, there is my sweet little Tilda. I have listed the products used under the photo.

Here is a list of the products available at Magnolia-licious:

Tilda Brings Flower

Memory Box Loopy Rings Die

Magnolia Doohickey Die - Tea Label Tags

Memory Box Ringed Buckle

Here are images for the inside of the card. Following the photos is the list of Magnolia-licious products used.

Can you believe I didn't use a single flower, ribbon, glitter, or other embellies I dearly love! YIKES! There is a clear button inside the bottom circle near the center. The photo didn't pick up the button image. It looks a bit wonky! LOL Here is what I did use and you could use, too, if you like parts of what I did!

Memory Box Vilanti Crest

Memory Box Loopy Rings

Tilda with Thistle - 2008 Halloween and Autumn Collection

I hope you found some inspiration with my card. Magnolia-licious is having a wonderful sale on Magnolia Mini Storage binders! They are currently 58% off the regular price! You pay just $10.00 for a single binder! I am going to order one after I sign off! They come with inserts and index cards to catalogue your minis! Such a bargain!

Well, I hope you like my Mini Monday card. It is sure different from my usual, isn't it! Thank you so much for stopping by. Please leave a comment to be included in the draw for a surprise from Diana!

I do hope you will return very soon!

Love to you,

Chris

It's Time for the Magnolia-licious Easter Blog Hop!

Hello Blog Hoppers!

Can you believe it is Easter? Wasn't it just Valentine's Day? YIKES! Where does the time go? Well, I can tell you that when you hop through the posts listed in this Blog Hop, you'll find that, like the Easter Bunny, you'll be having a hopping good time all the way from start to finish!

The theme for the Magnolia-licious Blog Hop is Easter! We would love, love, love to see a special Easter themed project using something Magnolia, of course. With all the adorable stamps in the Easter Collection, there are a lot of goodies to choose from! The theme is wonderful. Think of something to add some holiday window dressing for your home or your child's room!

If you've reached my blog via the very talented artist, Angela Wood, then, you are just where you are supposed to be. If not, you'll want to start back at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog to get you started. You do not want to miss a single fantastic creation the Design Team gals have to share! Now, I'd like to share my project:

I wanted something very cheery to place on our mantle. The bunnies have a glittered finish so they sparkle. Because they are wooden, and I didn't want them to topple, I added a piece of craft tape to adhere each bunny to the base block. The "flying" Tildas are suspended in the air using a hairpin that I straightened out for each one. Then, I attached it to the image and the back of each bunny. The hairpin was strong enough to support the Tildas without bending yet, narrow enough to be fairly invisible. Next, I added my new cutie pie images and one vintage because I thought he looked cute just sitting there while the Tildas were busy! Here are some close ups:

Here is a listing of the stamps I used for my project. Please visit Magnolia-licious if you are interested in adding any of these precious images to your Tilda Collection.

Ballerina Bunny

Happy Easter Tilda

Tilda Decorates Easter

Tilda Hiding Easter Egg

Little Hoppy with Buttercup

The next stop along the Magolia-licious Easter Blog Hop is the blog of the most inspirational Eulanda Silvey at Cards and More Cards. Eulanda's work is amazing! If you've not seen it before, you do NOT want to miss it!

I'll be drawing a name from those who leave comments. Whomever's name is drawn will get a little special something from me! I love surprising one lucky gal!

I hope you will join us by creating a wonderful Easter project. The Design Team has provided tons of wonderful spring board ideas to get your creative juices going! I can't wait to see what you create. The complete details may be found on the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog!

XO,

Chris

Wee Love Trip Stamp

So Wrapped Lovely Heart Folded Doohickey Tag

Tilda w/Daffodil Basket Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge

Happy Tuesday everyone,

Before I begin, let me start off by announcing the winner from the last Magnolia-licious Challenge Post. That winner is

#24 - Laura

Laura, please contact me with your mailing address so I can get your special something in the mail to you. Congrats!

Are you feeling it - the feeling that Spring is just around the corner? It's supposed to be in the 80s this week. Oh, how I dread the temps of summer! 80 is good, but anything over "a hundred and stupid" is way too much! LOL

It's March Madness at

Magnolia-licious
!

Diana Crick, owner of Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps, is having an amazing sale! Have you wished you could justify purchasing the Magnolia Ink magazines? Well, Diana is doing some Spring cleaning and, as Diana calls it, "March Madness at Minimum Moolah!" Each past issue of Magnolia Ink is on sale for $6.99! YIKES! Grab 'em while they're hot! The sale will run until March 31.

Also, new to the store are the new Doo-hickey Cutting Dies. I know I loaded up! Oh, there are so many that were too cute to turn down - especially the feather and the lace borders! Check them out!

Guess what? It's that time again - time for another wonderful challenge at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog! The delightful challenge goal is to create a card with an Easter or Spring theme! Oh, I see, eggs, bunnies, flowers, butterflies, baskets, etc! Please know that your card must use at least one Magnolia product for your card to be eligible for a prize. Our wonderful Fearless Leader, Diana Crick, has a special something for one lucky participant! If you know Diana, she loves to give fabulous prizes! You have until March 25 to enter, so don't wait!

Here are the photos of the card I created for this challenge. I chose to use Tilda with Daffodil Basket as my image - and this stamp is currently 25% off! Such a steal! I think it is such a beautiful stamp. It really made my card look extra special.

I had fun with this beauty! The butterflies were created using a die cut on designer paper. I chose to distress the edges of the butterflies. Next, I added a pink vellum die cut butterfly above each of the previous ones. It gave the butterflies a lighter, more delicate look. I also chose to distress the card stock and designer papers used on the mats. Tilda was colored using Distress Inks. I added a lavender color on the inside around Tilda. There is also an addition of Flower Soft at Tilda's feet. A tag is hidden under the image mat. There is also a pink vellum circular die cut behind the image mat. A square doily, touch of lace, pretty ribbons and flowers, and an adorable charm finish the front of the card. Here are more photos:

Thank you so much for dropping by. Please leave a comment if you wish! Remember, I will be drawing a name at random from those who leave comments. That lucky gal will win a little special something from me!

XO,

Chris
