Drip Drop Tilda

Hello dearest readers,

This is a first for me - two posts in one day! I hope you will take a minute and go back a page to see a sweet card I created using Edwin with Stolen Heart. It's one of my all time favorite cards!

I sort of stopped entering challenges. I became disappointed because on many challenges, I could never find out who had won! I kept going back and looking for a winners posting, and I couldn't find them! I can't be that blind, can I? Have any of you experienced where blogs do not post winners? Is it me? *sigh* It very well could be! LOL That's what happens when you get older than dinosaurs! LOL

Well, I decided to give entering a challenge another try. This challenge is at Creashop Duymelot in the Netherlands. The challenge was to create a card featuring Drip Drop Tilda. I've had this little gem of a stamp since the end of January and have just now had the time to ink her up and create a card. I just love it! It is the cutest little stamp! Please click on photos to see a larger image. Here is my card:

The papers I used have gray, blue gray, blue, and yellow-green in them. They also have sparkle on the patterned papers. I liked the cover paper which has little white clouds with stars and hearts falling from them. I thought it matched the rainy theme. It also has flowers and hearts printed on it. It's very sweet. I chose a blue gray cardstock as well as a deeper gray cardstock as the base. You cannot see, but Tilda is standing in a puddle of sparkly glitter to match the glittered raindrops. I rimmed the image in pearls, added blue ribbon, assorted flowers, and die cuts.

For this panel, I chose to use a companion paper. I thought this umbrella die cut would be fun for the inside. I wanted it to stand out, so I backed it with the lime green cardstock. I repeated the pearls from the front and applied them to the umbrella. I also added a pretty bow and charm.

This is the bottom panel. I kept it plain so that a special message could be added. Another repeated pearl accent and bow were applied.

Here you see the complete inside. The photos do not show just how pretty the colors are. I think it turned out very well!

I hope you like my Drip Drop Tilda card! Thank you, Creashop Duymelot, for having this challenge!

XO,

Chris I would also like to enter my card into the following wonderful challenges:

Snowy Hug Mini Monday Challenge at Magnolia-licious

Hi Sweet Readers,

How are you this Presidents' Day? Hopefully, you had the day off and found some time to do some creating.

I wanted to share a photo with you of a very special apple that my sweet husband brought home for me from Oregon. He didn't tell me anything about it. When I decided to have it as a snack, imagine my surprise when, after biting into it, found that the flesh was a deep pink! How cool is that? You should have heard me squeal with delight! I think the neighbors may have heard me! Then, I noticed that my bite was in the shape of a heart! Too funny! On the outside, it's the color of a Granny Smith apple. Here is a photo of my very first Hidden Rose apple. What do you think?

Neat, huh? It was delish, too! Crisp, crunchy, not sweet, but not real tart - refreshing.

Well, today is the first Mini Monday at the Magnolia-licious and Wee Stamps Challenge Blog. Mini Mondays are set aside for you to get out a Magnolia mini and ink it up! I must admit, I have always favored the standard sized images, but this was just too fun to do! Little did I realize how quickly the image would be colored! LOL! Here is my project. I used the following items from the Magnolia-licious Store.

Doohickey Romantic Tag

Snowy Hug Mini stamp

Marianne Design Winter Birds Die

As you can tell, I created a shaker box for my Snowy Hug Mini. I used German glass glitter inside the shaker. The flower is hand made. I used Memory box dies for the snow globe shape and the hanging heart. I made the envelope and placed a Magnolia DooHickey die cut inside. A touch of puffy paint here and there finished the snowy feel inside the snow globe.

Remember those eyelets and flat tops that we used to use years ago in scrapbooking? Well, I decided they I should use them rather than just let them sit on a shelf. Here, I paired two die cuts and added the eyelets and flat tops as accents. There is a hidden tag attached to the bow.

Well, there is my card for Mini Monday! I would love if you shared your mini card, too! These minis are little treasures that have not been given their time to shine!

Hopefully, you are still reading along! If so, I want to share with you that from now until Feb. 28, Diana at Magnolia-licious is having a 10% off sale on Score Pal Tape. Also on sale is Best Craft Glue Ever! This is in addition to her already wonderfully priced Magnolia and Wee Stamps. Load up while the prices are lower!

Thank you for visiting. I hope that you liked my creation for Mini Monday!

Love to you,

Chris

Tilda with Big Tulips Birthday Challenge Card

Hello Sweeties,

Well, the weather has just done a huge turn around for us. How about you? Did you get snow, wind, rain? We had a bit of everything! Stay warm!

Before I go to my card, I want to announce the winner of the surprise from me! This time, #10 was generated. The winner will receive a new Magnolia stamp from me! The winner is:

CATHY LEE

Cathy, please e-mail your address to me so I can get your stamp out to you! Congratulations!

Today is the start of our new challenge at Magnolia-licious. This is an exciting time for all as we're beginning with a blended Design Team, revamped Challenge Blog, new challenges, and some new products! Can you tell we're all excited? Just look at the Design Team's gorgeous creations made to inspire you!

Our challenge theme for the first challenge this month is for you to create a birthday card. I made mine for a dear friend who loves the color purple. Each year, I create a purple card just for her. We would love for you to join in the challenge. Just be sure to use a Magnolia stamp and/or Doohickey die(s). If there aren't any Magnolia products included, your sweet creation won't be included in the draw for a wonderful surprise from Diana, the owner of Magnolia-licious You have until February 25 to get your entry in! This is a really fun challenge!

I'd love to share my birthday card with you!

For the front of my card, I chose to use Tilda with Big Tulips which is available here. Isn't she just adorable? I have mounted her on a spring so that she has movement from left to right when flicked. I love texture, so I embossed the mat behind Tilda. I used lots of layering and pretty flowers and lace. I just love using the Magnolia Doohickey Die - Tilda's Doily Die. It just adds a bit of crispness to the layout. You can find this great die here. There is also a Magnolia tag tucked behind the mat. The eyelet border is an older Magnolia Die. The swirly bow is a newer die.

Here is a look at the inside:

I wanted the interior to be dramatic, so I used the darker cardstock with my dies. I used the space on the right to include a special message for my friend. I hope you like what I've created to inspire you.

Guess what? MAGNOLIA-LICIOUS is now offering WEE STAMPS! Look at these adorable stamps. I was amazed at the details. Be sure to check them out and get your order in before they are gone! You'll love working with them! Also, while you are there, make sure you order your Magnolia Easter Collection stamps!

Thank you so much for stopping by. I hope you will join the new challenge, visit Magnolia-licious and check out the new stamps.

XO,

Chris
