Magnolia Reindeer Tilda & Fawn Christmas Card

Hello Sweet Readers,

Well, here I am again! That's twice in one week! Today, I have a precious Christmas card to share with you featuring Reindeer Forest Tilda and Fawn. Both have been painted with distress inks and have glittered accents. If you look behind the Tilda image, you can see where I heat embossed Magnolia tree stamps using a white, sparkly embossing powder. I didn't want it to compete with the Tilda. I accentuated the wintery feel by using snowflake glitter as well as metallic glitter on the stamped images. The flower cluster features a whitened cinnamon stick, real pine cones, die cuts, imported flowers, lace, ribbon, and two baubles. Here it is:

Here is another photo:

Both interior panels have been done with matching paper and beautiful die cuts enhanced with rhinestones.

Magnolia Christmas Card Featuring Home for the Holidays Car

Hello Sweet Readers,

Well, it's been a while since I've blogged. Life has been complicated and busy. If you're reading this, thank you for visiting!

Today, I have a Christmas card to share with you. It's a cutie card featuring a stamp from Magnolia's Home for the Holidays Collection. The stamp is called Home for the Holidays Car. I've placed the stamped image on a spring so that it moves and bounces. I liked that it is interactive. The gift in the opposite corner is foiled with a red and gold design enhanced by a green sparkly ribbon. The card is on white Bazzill card stock with red foil card stock behind the Fa La La La La die cut. The patterned papers are Martha Stewart. The Fa La La La La die is by MFT. I used a Stampin'Up Sentiment because it was a perfect match to the theme. The sentiment looks blurry, and I think it is because it is embossed in green rather than inked. It is clear, I hope, IRL. Here is a photo of the image:

Here is a photo of the interior panels:

On the interior, I repeated the red foiled card stock to match the foiled elements on the patterned paper. The reds are foiled. I found ribbon and the button in my stash that was a perfect match!

Roller Coaster Tilda for LHOSM Challenge

Hello Sweet Readers,

It's been a "Blue Day" for me because of the passing of renown chef, Anthony Bourdain. I just adored him. My day has been a sad one. Despite the sadness, I did manage to get a card front done. I'll do the interior sometime when I get time. Today's card has been bouncing around in my head since I saw the Roller Coaster Tilda stamp. Then, my friend, Jane Johnson did an amazing pull card that used the Magnolia filmstrip die as roller coaster rails! Jane - that was brilliant! I quickly wrote to her and asked if she would give me permission to steal her idea, LOL. I would NEVER do that without asking first. Jane was lovely and said that she would love to see what I do with her concept. So, here it is:

Here are the deets:

I watercolored the background to represent an evening scene. The rhinestone stars are both clear and a very, very light purple. I used my Quickutz dies to cut the alphas for the title. "Happy Summer," was going to be my title, but then I thought that the title would be restrictive. "Oh happy day" would be more salable in my Etsy Shop, A Scrappers Boutique. I went over the alphas with some sparkly Wink of Stella. The filmstrip "rails" were cut from silver metallic card stock. The roller coaster is a die I've had but never used. I guess I was just waiting for the right stamp, and then it appeared! LOL I colored Tilda with Distress Inks. Oh, and I stitched the perimeter using silver metallic thread. The roller coaster cars were made sparkly using Crystal Stickles.

LHOSM is taking a summer break for the months of June and July. We will see you on August 19 when we begin our next round of challenges! Till then, have a happy summer!

Diploma Graduation Tilda for LHOSM Anything Goes Challenge

Happy May, Sweet Readers,

I'm writing this early so I don't forget to write it! LOL This weekend, I have our son and sweet angel granddaughter with us. Oh, it is so wonderful to have them visit. Little One will be three in 2 1/2 months, and is she sharp. By three, her Daddy was already reading on his own; however Miss Eleanor (AKA Princess Puddlepants) knows her colors, shapes, numbers, and can count to 30. I am so proud of her! She had hearing issues early on that affected her verbal and auditory development. After having surgery, she is all caught up, and her verbal ability, as well as her hearing ability, are right where they should be! Bless her heart! I just love her!

This month's challenge at LHOSM is

Anything Goes

Today, I would like to share a lovely graduation card with you featuring Diploma Tilda. Here she is:

For this card, I've used Maja Design Sofiero papers, Magnolia Medical Doohickey Dies, lace, doilies, imported flowers, inking, assorted other dies, and a 2018 graduation charm.

Here is a shot of the interior:

Roller Coaster Card w/ Magnolia Tildas

Hello sweet readers,

Happy May! I'm not going to chat today as I've been up all night and am exhausted as well as having blurry eyes!

Today, I have a fun card to share with you. I fell in love with the Magnolia Field Trip Collection and knew there were ideas that would make for fun cards. This is my first from the collection. It featured two Tilda stamps.

After creating the tree on the left, I added enamel dots to give dimension. The tree on the right is a composite of two different Magnolia tree dies blended to make a new tree. One of the trees is the fruit tree die. I don't know the name of the other one. The flowers are from the Garden Doohickey themed box. The fence is another doohickey from long ago. The background scene has been watercolored and is from a stamp that is ages old. I added lots of pop dots, glitter, rhinestones, and enamel dots.

Here is a photo of the interior:

The roller coaster creation involved printing out the pattern, cutting, scoring, and folding. For the interior, I wanted to carry the theme by using the Tilda in a roller coaster car. She's so cute! The clouds are both Magnolia nnd Memory Box.

On the Road Tilda - LHOSM Spring Flowers Challenge

Hello sweet readers,

I hope this post finds you well and happy! It's Spring here in the desert and everything is blooming! This is your midway reminder for the current challenge at the LHOSM Challenge Blog. The theme is:

Spring Flowers

For my inspiration card, I've chosen to use On the Road Tilda from the Seabreeze Collection. I think she is just adorable and the kind of gal I was when I was younger - with the bicycle! This is the first time I've inked her up, too! LOL She DID keep calling my name over the months! LOL

Here is my card:

Here is a shot of the interior:

I loved that the sentiment on the inside complimented the sentiment on the front. The papers were so perfect for Spring with the little flowers everywhere. Do you like it? LOL

Tilda has been colored with Distress Inks. I've added lots of layers and elevations using pop dots. The flowers in the bicycle basket have been accented with yellow glitter. The flowers are from my stash. I'm thinking that the papers used are from Doodlebug Designs. A doily is tucked behind the image mat. The grass has been cut using a Doohickey Die and is elevated so that the bicycle is behind the grass. This sentiment on the Spellbinders banner was done with Doodlebug rub ons.

Magnolia Gelato Tilda from the Summer 17 Collection

Hello sweet readers,

Happy Easter to each of you! I hope you will be surrounded by family and friends! I love Easter. I love that the colors change from the Winter darks to the bright or soft Spring colors.

One of my favorite memories, from when I was younger as well as when we were in the first 15 years of marriage, was to make Italian Easter Bread. It had whole dyed hard boiled eggs, in the shells, embedded in the top crust. I would take the bread a step further and create a lower level on which I would add Italian deli meats - prosciutto, salami, ham and a layer of Italian cheese - provolone, fontina, and mozzarella. I would close up the two layers of dough to keep the cheese in during the baking process. It would always be so pretty with the golden crust, colorful eggs, and after being cut open, the meat and cheese. I'm too old now to make it, LOL.

Today, I have a quickie card to share with you featuring Gelato Tilda from the Summer 17 collection. I think she is a little cutie. Here she is:

Tilda has been hand painted. The primary color is a deep purple that almost looks blue. The embellies are not involved making this card a quickie. The interior has been finished to match the front.

Magnolia Tilda with Daisy Mae, the Tiger

Hello sweet readers,

Well, the trash men were here in their big, noisy truck at 5:45 AM. So, with all the banging, I decided not to fight the frustration of being unable to get back to sleep. I got showered, folded a load of clothes, got another load in the dryer, made DH's breakfast, got dinner in the slow cooker, called a computer repair shop because my Photoshop was giving me some issues, took a ton of photos, Photoshopped them, and am now ready to share them with you! DH was gone for two hours with his companion. They went to a botanical garden and hiked around. It is always good when DH gets out and has some exercise and fresh air. He came home all tuckered out and is now napping! Win/win!

I've had this card in my head for a while. As a matter of fact, the cards I've been working on when I can steal a minute here and there, have all been bouncing around in my head for weeks. This card features Tilda with Daisy Mae, the Tiger. I wanted it to be a card that would touch a heart. Here it is:

I chose pastel blue and gray so it would work for a male (sort of, LOL). Tilda has been watercolored. The papers used are from Teresa Collins. The removable tag has a stamped image of Napoleon the cat on it.

Here is a shot of the interior panels:

I thought the sentiment was a sweet one and complimented the sentiment on the front. The little charm has the work "Love" etched into it.

My Craft Room - My Haven

Hello dearest readers,

Tilda Edwin's QOD is where do I scrap? Beside the answer, we were asked to post a photo of our scrap room. Well, since I could only post one photo on the FB page, I thought I'd post the rest here. The furniture and decorations are from Pottery Barn. I've since replaced the ampersand sign with a pair of wooden scissors the same size as the ampersand sign. I liked them better, LOL. Here is my little place to recoup and lose myself, LOL!

The photo above is facing north.

This view is facing south. Those binders on top of the hutch are filled with my Tilda stamps. I've since added six more binders to my collection of Tildas!

This is part of the wall units facing west.

The photo below is inside one of the closets. These drawers hold 12 x 12 card stock and paper filed by color.

The final photo is of the other closet in my craft room. There are embellishments in the large drawers. On the floor are storage containers filled with specifics like ribbon, alphas, lace, chip board, accents, etc.

Well, there it is. My little piece of the craft sphere.

Thank you for dropping by!

LHOSM Anything Goes Challenge - Have Dinner with Me Tilda

Hello sweet readers,

I had a very, very busy day, today. Lots of cooking and cleanup as well as other household chores. It was a very gray day with rain coming, so it was perfect to get a pot of chicken broth going for soup tomorrow. The house smells sooooo good!

Guess what? It's time for your midway reminder for Challenge #156 at the Lovely Hanglar or Sweet Magnolia Challenge Blog. Our theme this month is

Anything Goes

For my inspiration card, I've chosen to use Have Dinner with Me Tilda from the Recipe Card Collection. I think this stamp is so sweet and perfect for a Mother's Day card. It's one of my favorites from that collection.

Here is my card:

I chose to color Tilda with Distress Inks. I've used lots of pop dots to elevate portions of the card so that it isn't flat. The doily has been elevated from the background and the circular cut out around Tilda has been elevated off the doily. There are lots of die cuts inside and out. After the card was done, I thought it needed a bit of sparkle, so I added a thin line of Crystal Stickles around the circle. The banner was cut from a Spellbinder's Die, and the sentiment is from Stampin' Up. The gorgeous papers are from Craft and You - the Beautiful Day Collection. I'm thinking that the leaf and circular dies are by Marianne Design. The flowers are from my stash.

Here is a photo of the interior. I used some floral rub ons because they matched the papers so beautifully.

Bunny Love Easter Card

Hello sweet readers,

I have another card to share today that is the result of another sleepless night. Things keep my mind so active. I'm stressed and always on the verge of tears. So, after laying in the dark for two hours, I just get up and go to my craft room to make good use of time otherwise spent tossing and turning.

Today's card doesn't have a Tilda, but it does have Doohickey dies. I just couldn't paint. Here it is:

For the front, I used Bazzill yardstick, Jillibean paper, pearls, and the following Doohickey Dies: Vintage Frame, flowers and vine from Doohickey Kit Volume 9, Doily is from Doohickey Kit 14. The bow, bunny die, and love word are from my stash.

Here are shots of the interior top:

Here is a photo of the interior bottom:

The adorable bunny die is from Doohickey Kit 13.

Masquerade Tilda

Hello sweet readers,

It's been a very busy week for me. I'm tired! LOL I've had this card done for a couple of weeks, but just didn't have time to post it until today. I hope you like it.

Today's card showcases Masquerade Tilda from the You're Invited Collection. I don't do dark cards, but I started this during Mardi Gras in New Orleans and for some reason, this is the direction it took. Here it is:

The card is so much better IRL than the photo shows. The Kaisercraft paper has gold foil printed within the design. The Magnolia die cuts, mask and feather, have been cut and embossed on gold foil card stock. The large mask at the bottom, La La Land Crafts, has also been cut from gold foil card stock. I enhanced Tilda's dress with gold ink (which I don't think you can see in the photo). So there are gold elements on the front and interiors. A matching ribbon, feathers, and black glittered card stock complete the front. Here is a photo of the interior panels:

Magnolia Tilda with Inez the Bunny Love Card for LHOSM

Hello sweet readers,

Why does time seem to speed by as we get older? I remember thinking that the minutes and hours were just creeping by. Now, time passes in a blink!

Did you have a nice Valentine's Day? Did your honey give you a special somethin' somethin'? My sweetie was such a romantic. One year, I went to the car to go to work and found the most beautiful heart shaped ruby ring attached to the steering wheel! I was so touched. Another year, and I am NOT bragging, I was stunned, I was give the keys to a new BMW 7 Series (my favorite car). It was the color I had mentioned loving. I named her "Buffy." Buffy served me well for several years until a nitwit in a truck ran a stop sign and broadsided me - totaling Buffy. I was devastated! I loved, loved, loved that car! Any vehicles that came after Buffy just didn't measure up. I would LOVE to know what your best Valentine gift ever was. Would you share below?

Today, I am showcasing my very first card for LHOSM. The theme this month, of course, is

LOVE

Our sponsor for this month's challenge is

Since Valentine's Day has passed, I thought I'd make a card that would work for any time of the year. I chose the colors gray and yellow. The stamp I chose to use is Tilda with Inez the Bunny from the Animals of the Year Collection. I thought she was just too cute! The floral sprays are a Memory Box die. The precious LOVE die was a gift from a sweet cyber friend, so its source is unknown. Tilda was colored with a mixture of Distress Inks and pencils.

Sending Love Thinking of You Card

Hello sweet readers,

Last week was VERY exciting for me. I was invited to join two Design Teams! Due to my DH's illness, I could only join one. I would have so loved to join both. But, time is precious and I need so much time to take care of our lives. I chose to join the Lovely Hanglar and Sweet Magnolia Design Team.

I have a card to share with you today. I took little bits of time almost every day. I hope you like it. I didn't want it to necessarily be a Valentine's Day card. I keep asking myself, if it wasn't February, would it look less Valentiney? LOL I wanted it to be for a male and apply to other situations such as thinking of you, miss you, etc.

Here it is:

As you can see, there is no Tilda image! Instead, I focused on really cute die cuts. I just love, love, love that typewrite Doohickey Die! It is so stinkin' cute! The word "LOVE" was a gift from my cyber friend, Tina. The white panel is also a Doohickey die as is the banner on the bottom. The sentiment is computer generated.

Here are the interior shots:

I created the two envelopes on the top panel using matching papers. Gray and red enamel dots, black ribbon, black and white baker's twine, and clay heart finish the top.

The bottom panel has been left open for a personal message.

Does it look too girly?

Magnolia Tilda Love is in the Air Valentine Card

Hello sweet readers,

It's almost time for Valentine's Day! I thought I'd make a cute Peek-A-Boo card to celebrate the holiday. It has a lot of detailed elements that took a lot of precision and time. My photos stink, though. I don't know what the secret is to taking good photos!

For this card, I chose to use a new Tilda from the You are Invited Collection. It is named, "Tilda Throws Away Hearts." I thought the design would be perfect to showcase our little cutie pie! Here it is:

For the front of the card, I chose to make a pocket that is edged in white glittered card stock. I also created a tag design using the components from the typewrite die set (which I forgot to arrange before taking the shot). The alphas have been cut from my alpha dies. The heart frame, around Tilda is also glittered card stock. Of course, there is an array of flowers.

Here is a look at the interior panels:

Again, I use some of my alpha dies for the sentiment. Tilda has some cute, sparkly, pink triangular rhinestones around her to enhance the hearts being thrown into the air. I used Wink of Stella to the stamped hearts to add some subtle sparkle. Tilda has been watercolored.

I thought it would be a nice card for a guy, so I kept away from ribbons and lace.

Magnolia Get Well Tilda Valentine Love Note Card

Hello sweet readers,

I just cannot believe it is mid January! It has been so warm here that I dread the thought of what the upcoming summer might be like! Our temps are Spring temperatures and we've had almost no rain. The mountains are usually snowcapped and have nothing on them. The two times the mountains did get snow, it was gone the next day because it is so warm. Ugh! We get dry and warm while the east coast of our country has been buried in frigid temperatures and feet of snow!

I couldn't sleep the other night, again, and made this little card between midnight and 4:30 AM, LOL. It doesn't have frills, but it is pretty cute. I chose the new Get Well Tilda and the accompanying EKG line die. The mat die is also Magnolia, but I don't know its name. Here she is:

The inside has only the lower panel done. It features a really cute bow with red and white checked ribbon on which the manufacturer has printed, "I Love You" on it in black. Too cute!

Magnolia Band-Aid Tilda Sends Hugs

Hello and welcome back, Sweet Readers,

Well, how is the New Year going for you? Ours is going well so far. I've been busy taking care of DH and all the daily routines. Tomorrow I go to the doctor to see why my heart is going crazy. I think it's stress. I hope it is stress. I've been busy testing recipes. I've made a delicious Asiago Bisque, Dill Pickle Soup, Dill Pickle and Cheddar bread, a wonderful baked fruit dessert with apples, cranberries, pineapple, and pears seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg, maple syrup, and brown sugar. It was soooooo good! The house smelled wonderfully.

I got some time here and there to work on a card. I used Band Aid Tilda and forced myself to use my least favorite color, purple. I also used a "no lines" technique for the first time. Thank you, Jane, for helping me get the courage to give it a go. Thank you, also, Diana Crick, for the die! I love it!

Here is a photo of my card:

Tilda has been hand painted with DIs. I found some flower sequins which matched in color and added some sparkle. I used a pearl for each center. I used the stethoscope and band aid dies from the Get Well Collection. Inside is the pill bottle die filled with little heart-shaped "meds!" LOL Lots of different dies and imported flowers. The papers are Sofiero.
