Magnolia-licious Hello Little Butterfly

Hello Sweet Readers,

It's time for a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog! Our challenge for this two week period is to create a project using...

Butterflies

The rules are the same. You must use a Magnolia product AND your project must clearly show the current theme in some way. This week, Team A has some fabulous inspirations to share. Next Tuesday, Team B will share their examples. I just know there is some thing there to inspire you!

This is the front of my card. All Magnolia-licious products are posted below the last photo. I hope you like what I have created and will leave a little love! One lucky commenter will be selected to win a special surprise from Diana at Magnolia-licious! For those of you who live abroad, your comments count as well!

As you can see, I chose to create a window in the front while using the stamped image as the focal point on the inside. This was new to me! I like the "shadow box" feel that is given. Here are the other images:

I wanted to keep the inside left very simple. I just used a simple way to state the greeting, a trio of pretty flowers, pearl trim around a Nestie frame, and a Magnolia-licious butterfly die with a pearl body. I went a bit more fancy on the inside right by adding a doily border and more pearls around the image which is actually three stamps combined into a little scene. There is a hidden tag on the left that will allow a personal message to be included. I also modified the Dragonfly Doohickey Die by removing the body and adding the butterfly body to the die cut. I followed this up with pearls as well.

Here are the Magnolia-licious Products I've used for this card:

Hello Little Butterfly #321
Scalloped Tag Doohickey Die #28
Swirly Butterfly Doohickey Die #29
Bon Voyage Foliage Doohickey Die #6
Dragonflies Doohickey Die #9
Vintage Box Lacing Chocolate Doohickey Die #81
Tea Label Shape Doohickey Dies (circle) #69 Envelope Edge Doohickey Dies
Tilda Doily Doohickey Die
Open Gate Stamp - Hoppy Easter 2010
Butterfly Signpost - Chasing Butterflies

I hope you like what I have created. I thought it turned out nicely. I love the blues. Make sure you visit the rest of the Design Teamies to see what they've done for you. Don't forget to leave a little love for them, too!

Don't forget to visit the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Store for your Magnolia and Wee Stamps! If the item you wish isn't in stock, just let Diana know. She may be able to get it in for you!

Mini Monday by the "Not the Mamas and Papas!"

Here's the You Tube link to the song Monday, Monday by the Mamas and Papas. I created my own version below. I dare you to sing or hum along while singing the modified lyrics...LOL

Ba-da ba-da-da-da
Ba-da ba-da-da-da

Mini Monday, today's the day,
Mini Monday, I just had some time to play
Oh Mini Monday, Mini Monday I just want to say
At Magnolia-licious it's time for another Mini Monday

Every other day, every other day
Every other day of the week is fine, yeah
But when Mini Monday comes, but when Mini Monday comes
The Design Team will inspire you every time!

Mini Monday, today's the day,
Mini Monday, I just had some time to play
Oh Mini Monday, Mini Monday I just want to say
At Magnolia-licious it's time for another Mini Monday

Did that make you smile? Maybe not, LOL! Yes, it's Mini Monday at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog! It's a reminder to pull out your adorable mini Magnolias and give them a little work out!

Today, I've created for you a dinner invitation featuring an Edwin as a chef mini as well as some of the new Doo-hickey Dies. I hope I might spark a little inspiration for you! Here is the first photo:

I wanted to add some interest by using a Grand Nestabilities Scalloped Circle Die, which I folded in half,as the base of my card. Then, using the Grand Nestabilities Circle Dies, I added two semi-circles. A doily, some flowers, a sentiment, the Doohickey Silverware Dies cut from silver foil cardstock, and a Mini Chef Edwin finishes off the front.

Here is a photo of the interior:

On the inside, I chose to use the smaller version of the silverware Doohickey Dies also cut from silver foil cardstock. I used my computer to print up the details. A couple of matching flowers, a die cut, and another cute bow finishes off the inside.

Here are the items available at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Store:

Mini Chef Edwin - #141

Large Silverware Doohickey Die - #78

Mini Silverware Doohickey Die - #77

I hope you will also visit the blogs of the DT gals who also create inspirations for you.

Make sure not to miss the Deal of the Day at the Magnolia-licious Store's Home Page. Each day, Diana has posted a real steal of a deal! The featured products are heavily discounted for only 24 hours. There may be items posted that you've wanted to have, but needed to wait on. Now is the time to go for it!

Have a wonderful week! I hope you will stop by again! Don't forget to leave a comment to have your name put in the running to win a special surprise from Diana!

Love to you,

Chris

Magnolia Tilda Likes Rainy Weather

Hello Sweet Readers,

It's time for a new challenge at the Magnolia-licious/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog! The challenge for this two week period is to create a card with a WEATHER THEME. I chose to use two Magnolia Tilda stamps under an umbrella and also have a weather related sentiment. I did, however, want my sentiment to be supportive and positive.

Before I share my card with you, I wanted you to know, in case you didn't know already, that Magnolia-licious has a "Deal of the Day!" How about that? Each day, Diana posts a new item on the store's Home Page. This item has been significantly reduced in price making it a real deal and steal! Be sure to check it out each and every day!

Now for my weather themed card. I chose two Tildas and masked them together. I thought both of these little darlings were such a perfect pairing. Both images were painted and look so much better IRL, LOL. Here is the front of my card:

I drew little raindrops and glittered them so they would sparkle. The umbrella has a pale pink underside with a glittered polka dot pattern on the top. I used lots of layering, flowers, and a sweet umbrella charm. On the peak of the umbrella, I added a pink enameled metal charm.

Here are the images for the inside:

I've had this umbrella die for quite some time just saving it for this card. It's hard to see, but it has embossed dots on the top. Don't you love the umbrella paper? I thought it was so pretty when I got it. Again, bought with this challenge in mind. I love the Doohickey die border. It just adds nice texture.

Here is the final photo. This is of the bottom of the card's interior.

I thought that this particular sentiment would be so appropriate for those times when a friend needs support. I love cards that give strength and love to others. I chose to use part of a new Doohickey die - Lace Coaster. The only thing that bugged me about it was that it is not a true circle. It is wider at some areas than others. There is a hidden tag behind the yellow panel.

I have used the following products available at Magnolia-licious. Just click the link to be taken right to the item!

3016 - Tilda with Heart Balloons

294 - Tilda with Balloon

DH#1 - Vintage Tag Doohickey Die

DH#81 - Vintage Box Lacing Chocolate Doohickey Die

DH#84 - Lace Coaster Doohickey Die

DH#10 - Berry Lace Doohickey Die

I hope you like my creation. If you leave a comment for me, your name will be entered into a draw for a special gift from Diana.

Thank you so much for stopping by! I hope you will add a card to the Weather Challenge at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog!

XO,

Chris

Goldie Celebrates Wee Wednesday at Magnolia-licious!

Hello Sweet Readers,

Happy "Hump Day" to each of you! This is my second post in as many days! Can you believe that?

Today is Wee Wednesday at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! Some of the gals have created adorable cards using these oh-so-sweet Wee Stamps by Sylvia Zet. Maybe you will find some inspiration in these adorable projects! Did you know that Diana now carries Wee Stamps at Magnolia-licious? If you haven't checked them out, you really should! Diana has great prices AND you get store credit which accumulates with each purchase until you decide to use your saved credit in the store! How cool is that?

I chose to use Wee #101 - Goldie for my card. I love that I can use this image for lots of different purposes. I chose "Celebrate" on today's card. I can, however, see it used for a "Thinking of You" card or a "Get Well Card." They are so versatile! I dressed the card up with a cluster of silver sequins which add a bit of additional sparkle to the image. The center of each sequin holds a clear rhinestone. I have had a box of sequins for about 15 years! They just sat up in my closet awaiting a time to use them! Well, the time is NOW! I also used a fine glitter on the large air bubble as well as the one beneath the snail. I applied dark pink Kindyglitz glitter glue for the flowers and bubbles above the snail. Here she is:

I just love the soft pink and blue together. I chose to have lots of layering, machine stitching, gorgeous flowers, an adorable seahorse charm, sparkle, and texture! The sparkle on the image panel is just perfect. The clear glitter just draws the eye right to the stamped image. The sequins just add another type of texture. I love using them! I know I'll be using them even more!

Here are the inside images:

I have used the following products on my card:

Wee Stamps - 101 - Goldie

Doohickey Cutting Die - 81 - Vintage Box Lacing Chocolate Die

Magnolia Horn Shell Stamp - Summer and Sea Collection - Currently out of stock

Scallop Shell - Summer and Sea Collection - Currently out of stock

Sea Star - Summer and Sea Collection - Currently out of stock

Thank you for stopping by! I hope that you gain a bit of inspiration from my card. Let me know what you think!

Chris

Are you ready to see my creation? I cannot wait to share it with you! Here it is:

Isn't that carriage adorable? I have had a princess carriage design in my head for years! It wasn't until the new Magnolia Once Upon a time Collection became available at Magnolia-licious that I actually got to turn my thoughts into a tangible project! I used pink vellum for the body of the carriage. Then, I went through my Nesties to see which dies would work for the carriage hardware. Those elements were cut from silver cardstock. I used silver thread to stitch the seams on the carriage body as well as around the perimeter of the card's panels. Next, I chose to add some girly girl pearls, flowers, and charms! If you look closely, Tilda has little pink pearls on her shoes. I also added three hot pink rhinestones to her crown. Here are the close ups.

Here are the images of the interior panels. I used the pink vellum once again to create the flowers and leaves.

For the bottom panel, I used the pink vellum for the flower as well as the stamped castle image.

The following items are available a the Magnolia-licious store:

223 - Princess Tilda with Curl

Heart Doohickey Die

Twisted Swirl Die - Currently Out of Stock

New Magnolia-licious Challenge Featuring Tilda with Daffodil Basket

Good morning everyone,

Happy April! Can you believe it's April already? We're already running our air conditioner! It's around 80° already, which isn't that bad, but everything is in bloom, and the allergens are really heavy! So, by keeping the house closed up and running the air conditioner, it helps keep those pollens at bay. Even our poor little Precious, the cat, is having Feline Asthma. She's so good when I give her the pill. She doesn't fight the daily routine at all. Bless her heart!

Guess what is ready to go at Magnolia-licious? If you guessed the new

Once Upon a Time Collection

then you guessed right! The prices are the BEST and, in addition, you'll get a store credit based on your total spent at the time of purchase. This goes into your own personal account and builds each time you make a purchase. Down the line, it feels like Christmas when you can get that special something using the accumulated store credit! Diana's inventory is filled, so don't wait! If you wait too long, they'll be gone.

There is a new challenge today at the Magnolia-licous/Wee Stamps Challenge Blog ! Our challenge for the next two week period is to create a card using

Buttons, Bows, and/or Beads!

How fun is that? It's time for a girly girl card! Woo Hoo! Here is the card I created to provide a little inspiration. I hope you like it. I did change the base of the card from white to the pale pink after I had taken the photos. I liked it better with the pink base. I have used some wonderful NEW Magnolia products, too. The Magnolia products used in my card follow the photo. Here is the front of my card:

I am so in love with this stamp! It is so perfect for so many card purposes! This time, I chose to use pale yellow and pale pink together. Remember, I did change the white base of the card to the pale pink. I have created eight holes for lacing the ribbon. At each end, I added a pretty bow. You can find the following products at the Magnolia-licious Store. Use the links to go right to the product information.

Tilda with Daffodil Basket

Doo-hickey Butterfly Die - Check with Diana about availability.

Here are the shots of the inside of my card:

Here are the links to the Magnolia-licious products used for the interior:

Vintage Box Lace Chocolate Doo-hickey Die

Heart Tea Label Shape Doo-hickey die

Vintage Tag

Feather Doo-hickey die

Remember, that Diana is very generously giving one lucky gal a special surprise just for leaving a comment on the Challenge and Design Team Blogs! You can't win if you don't join in!

Now, I would like to announce the winner of a special something from little old me (emphasis on the old part). The name was chosen fro those who left a little love for me on the last Challenge post. That winner is...

#15 - Patty - that's YOU!

It's a Magnolia-licious Mini Monday!

Hello Dearest Readers,

I hope your Easter was one that was filled with family, friends, laughs, and love! I so loved when our boy was little and the Easter Bunny would leave a basket of goodies. He was always so thrilled!

Well, it's Mini Monday at the Magnolia-licious Challenge Blog! If this is your first time checking out Mini Monday, it's our way to inspire you to pull out your minis and ink them up! I'll tell you, it's been great for me as I was really intimidated by them! LOL So, we'll work into using them together, OK? LOL

Before I forget, I want to share that Diana has the brand spankin' new Once Upon a Time Collection on sale right now! The prices are soooo affordable with the generous discount that Diana gives as well as the additional discount that goes into your own little "savings" account (store credit) earned with each purchase of store product. Get them before they are gone!

My card is really different from my usual style! First of all, there are NO FLOWERS! Can you believe that? I love flowers and usually have them inside and out on my cards! Not this time! I also kept the design very simple. That is also so unlike me! Yes, I used layers and machine stitching - I couldn't give up everything, LOL, could I? Here are the images:

For the front of the card, I chose the colors of pale yellow and teal. It looks like an emerald green, but it's a teal. The base of the card is the pale yellow Bazzill. I found some patterned paper in my stash that was a perfect match! I used Basic Grey buttons, bakers twine, Nestie dies for the scalloped circles and inner yellow circles, Memory Box dies for the swirly circles and the three random circles. The tag is an improvised Magnolia tag. I wanted to make the tag more functional, so I got a little creative. Then, there is my sweet little Tilda. I have listed the products used under the photo.

Here is a list of the products available at Magnolia-licious:

Tilda Brings Flower

Memory Box Loopy Rings Die

Magnolia Doohickey Die - Tea Label Tags

Memory Box Ringed Buckle

Here are images for the inside of the card. Following the photos is the list of Magnolia-licious products used.

Can you believe I didn't use a single flower, ribbon, glitter, or other embellies I dearly love! YIKES! There is a clear button inside the bottom circle near the center. The photo didn't pick up the button image. It looks a bit wonky! LOL Here is what I did use and you could use, too, if you like parts of what I did!

Memory Box Vilanti Crest

Memory Box Loopy Rings

Tilda with Thistle - 2008 Halloween and Autumn Collection

I hope you found some inspiration with my card. Magnolia-licious is having a wonderful sale on Magnolia Mini Storage binders! They are currently 58% off the regular price! You pay just $10.00 for a single binder! I am going to order one after I sign off! They come with inserts and index cards to catalogue your minis! Such a bargain!

Well, I hope you like my Mini Monday card. It is sure different from my usual, isn't it! Thank you so much for stopping by. Please leave a comment to be included in the draw for a surprise from Diana!

I do hope you will return very soon!

Love to you,

Chris
